stretching myself thin

The other day I desperately need to get out of the house....away from the kids. I am with them 24/7, which is a dream come true for me. That being said, I AM HUMAN. And sometimes, I just need to get away. Normally, when things get overwhelming, I just get through it without loosing it. The feeling will pass, and I "get back to normal" in no time. After a while, the build up overflows. I start being extremely short tempered, impatient, and just not nice. My husband offers to let me "get out of the house for a while"...but I hardly take the opportunity. Even though I know it is healthy to have some "me time"...I find it hard to leave the kids. I'm jealous of those moms who can leave, and not feel the need to hurry home, or call the sitter a million times. Just relax. I struggle with that. Knowing how I am, my husband took the bull by the horns, and called the sitter, and took me on a date. We went in to a local antique shop and browsed around for over an hour. Looking at all the little rooms and the expansive garden in the back. It was just what I needed. I did my best not to text the sitter a million times, and let myself relax. We went to our favorite sushi spot for dinner, and enjoyed each others company. For that few hours, I was able to be myself. Not "Mom!".
This look is a typical date night look for me. The pants are like stretchy pants with zippers at the front hem (vs the usual side or back).. Did you know I am a sucker for zipper hem pants? I paired it with a basic white tank, and my leather moto jacket. I feel like anyone can pull of this look.
